The two Corvette C6.Rs will start second and third on the grid for the final round of the 2005 ALMS at Laguna Seca.  The ACEMCO Saleen will start on pole after a scorching lap by Terry Borcheller of 1m 20.307s which smashed the lap record set by Olivier Beretta last year at 1 21.679s.  Both Corvettes were also under the old record, the No.3 and No.4 cars finishing second and third fastest respectively.  The two Astom Martin DBR9s are right behind in fourth and fifth.  It's going to be a tough race tomorrow!
