When the #58 Aston had a problem with their front splitter, forcing an unscheduled pit stop, the #64 Corvette took over the class lead.  The two Aston Martins are now playing catch up and are gaining on the #64 at 3 or 4 seconds a lap.  Both are running close together in second and third around 1m 30s behind the #64 car.  The #63 Corvette C6.R is a lap behind in 4th.

It's starting to get very hot now here in Le Mans.  With temperatures already approaching 32 degrees and forecast to go higher this will be a real test of man and machine for both Corvette and Aston.

The race will finish at 4.00pm local time (3.00pm in the UK) and there is coverage for the rest of the afternoon on Eurosport and Eurosport 2.
