Oliver Gavin Wins The Race Of The Racers

Corvette Racing’s British sportscar champion, Oliver Gavin, set an endurance record of a different kind in today’s Flora London Marathon. Running for Bowel Cancer UK, Olly finished the race in just 3 hrs and 10 seconds, a new personal best time, and was placed a remarkable 952nd overall.

He was one of four other racing drivers entered amongst the 36,000 runners, and finished 58 minutes ahead of the next best placed driver, former BTCC competitor Gareth Howell. He’s pictured here with three-times World Touring Car Champion, Andy Priaulx, just before the start. Priaulx was just three minutes behind Howell at the finish.

It’s not too late to support Oliver and if you wish to do so please visit the Just Giving page at: www.justgiving.com/yardleymarathonrunners.
