The Dyson Crawford Pontiac #16, driven by Rob and Chris Dyson, Oliver Gavin and Guy Smith, finished an eventful Daytona 24 Hours in 14th place overall and 10th in class.

Olly, who drove approximately 6.5 hours of the 24, was typically upbeat about his 3rd Daytona experience despite the technical set backs the team suffered through the race.
"It was a really great experience working with Rob, Chris and Guy, and the Crawford team worked amazingly hard fixing problems every time they arose. They never gave up. Without the problems we would have finished in the top 5 for sure, so it's obviously a bit disappointing from that point of view.
"Pooling all the experience we had between us we had a good pre-race strategy but this went straight out of the window once the technical gremlins hit us.
"The power steering started to go when I was doing my first stint, but then got worse when Rob drove so he brought it into the garage to be fixed. We then twice had problems with the CV joints - in common with lots of other cars up and down the pitlane - brake issues and a problem with the fuel vent. It was stuck open so, when we added fuel to the car, it came right back out of the vent. This happened during 3 stops and, because we had to turn off the car, clean up the spilt fuel and move it forward to another pit to start it, it cost us valuable time. We'd all been doing a good job to make up the laps and positions we'd lost earlier, so it was a shame to have this kind of thing happen.
"To be honest we'd had a bit of a struggle almost from the beginning, but in the last few hours the car felt as good as it has been all weekend."
"In my stints I drove as hard as I could but always tried to look after the car. I didn't go off or hit anyone, and even managed to unlap myself once, but we never managed to make up enough of the lost time to challenge the leaders. You still race hard though, no matter where you are on the track or the leader-board, and this really kept me going through my stints. It kept us all going.
"Now it's back home for a few weeks and a chance to recover before I set off back over the Atlantic to test the Corvette again. It's only 7 weeks until the start of the ALMS season at Sebring. I can't wait!"
