2006 HOUSTON PREVIEW

The ALMS action moves to a street circuit this week with a race on a temporary 1.7 mile 9 turn track at Houston.  A street circuit brings its own unique challenges to the field of powerful sportscars.  Corvette Racing are looking forward to another battle with Aston Martin in the quest for GT1 honours.  Conditions will be different again to those at Sebring where Aston showed how competitive they can be.

The race takes place on Friday evening (12th May) at 8.00 pm local time, and runs for 2 hours 45 minutes.  For those in the UK that is 2.00 am on Saturday morning!  Those brave enough can follow the race live on www.americanlemans.com live timing and scoring.  We will be bringing a summary of the results here on olivergavin.com during Saturday morning and there will be delayed coverage of the race on Motors TV on Saturday evening.

"I'm looking forward to racing on a street circuit again," Oliver confirmed. "You have to be very precise and that makes the racing even more exciting.  Its fantastic to have the Astons there again and the whole team is eager to renew the rivalry."
