Le Mans 8 Hour Report

WOW, what a battle at the head of GT2.  First of all Manu Collard (64) and Pierre Kaffer (82) and then Oliver and Jaime Melo have been going head to head, never much more than a second between them!!  On one lap the lead changed twice at the two Mulsanne chicanes, Olly taking the lead at the first and Jaime Melo retaking the lead at the second one!!

However, just before the 8 hour mark the battle was thwarted by a problem for the Ferrari forcing the Risi team to take it into the pit garage.  That leaves Olly with an advantage of just over a minute over the 63 Corvette.  At the 8 hour pit stops 64 changes drivers and Olivier is in.  The 63 Corvette has decided to change the strategy and Jan Magnussen has stayed in for a triple stint.

So Corvette 1 and 2!  But, there is still 16 hours to go ………..
