A French adventure of a different kind!

Olly has been on an adventure of a different kind this week in his role as an ambassador for Chevrolet UK: the Beaujolais Run, an annual charity driving experience that raises money for good causes.

The new 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray lined up alongside the 2012 Beaujolais Run winner, a 2012 Corvette C6, to lead the field away at the iconic Brands Hatch circuit in Kent.  The Corvettes were flanked by a pair of Camaros, one of which was driven by the GM factory driver and 2012 ALMS GT Champion.

In the company of such names as John Surtees and Anthony Reid, and waved off by Jonathan Palmer, Olly has travelled to the Beaujolais/Macon region of France together with some great cars and great people to ‘collect’ the new 2013 Beaujolais wine.

Along the way, an enormous amount of money is being raised for the Henry Surtees Foundation which, in 2012, used funds from the ‘Run’ to equip three air ambulance areas in the South of England with blood transfusion equipment and support vehicles.

Stopping at some beautiful chateaux and vineyards (although sadly not able to sample much as he is driving!), Olly and John Surtees have both featured as after-dinner speakers as part of the very full, week-long itinerary.

Next stop is some winter testing of the C7R in preparation for the 2014 Tudor United Sportscar Championship.
