Hi everyone – a quick update for you all. As you can see from the news pages, things are progressing well in the ALMS since the last few races and we’ve had some great battles. We just need that win now!
Have a look at the photos in the gallery page for a glimpse at my last few months’ work…it’s been busy. Also check out all the latest stories in the news section and keep in touch with everything I do during the year via OGTV – it’s becoming quite a hit on YouTube! There are also links to other sites which will help you keep you fully up to speed with what’s happening on and off track.
2010 promised to be a cracking season of racing in both the American Le Mans Series GT2 class and the newly launched FIA GT1 World Championship, and I’ve been driving a Chevrolet Corvette in both.
The FIA GT1 World Championship offered me a chance to race again regularly in Europe, but unfortunately it didn’t offer the results I was hoping for and I’ve now decided to concentrate all my efforts on the ALMS for the rest of 2010. I hope I’ll get another opportunity to compete in the championship in the future.
As a former winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award, I was really pleased that so many of my BRDC colleagues joined me at this year’s London Marathon on 25th April. We raised a grand total of £100,000 for CLIC Sargent, the children’s cancer charity, which is a magnificent amount and I really want to thank everyone who donated or contributed. We’ve now starting to plan next year’s attack on the event!
